Collection Tube Heater

The air sampler collects aldehydes which are hazardous air pollutants. The ozone scrubber is connected to the front stage and two DNPH collection tubes to the rear for air sampling. However, excessive moisture due to rain may interfere with collection by causing condensation in the collection tube. The GTH-1 prevents condensation by heating the collection tube to a temperature higher than the dew point with a direct current voltage (10ºC to 15ºC higher than the ambient air temperature) thus enabling reliable sampling on a 24-hour basis.
