Using the injection measuring

The procedure is the reverse of the simple aspiration gas sampling method (where gas is drawn into an empty pump cylinder), the sampling air is first sucked into the gas syringe, from which it is injected into the detector tube. The products using this method, include carbon dioxide No.2HT and propane No.100B.
Measurement procedure
1 Break off both ends of the detector tube using the tip cutter.

2 Attach a connecting rubber tube to the syringe, and gather sample gas 20mL in the gas sampling pump accurately.

3 With the detector tube firmly inserted in the gas sampling pump inlet (with the arrow pointing towards the pump), quickly inject the sample gas from the sampling pump into the detector tube.
Propane No.100 B:
20mL at 1mL/6 seconds (120 seconds)
Carbon dioxide No.2 HT:
20mL at 1mL/1 seconds (20 seconds)

4 Read the discolouration layer edge to determine the concentration of the gas.
